Aviaries can be constructed of either steel or aluminium.  We offer a large range of aviaries, from smaller cages on wheels for pet birds, suspended aviaries or larger banks of aviaries erected on existing concrete pads.

Some of the larger aviaries that are made from 25mm x 25mm aluminium, are constructed in a series of  panels which enable the aviary to be extended from time to time, to your requirements or simply unscrewed and re-assembled, if you move.

Most aviaries have a solid metal roof with 12mm x 12mm wire on the fronts.  It is desirable to have a full metal roof  to ensure that wild bird droppings do not entry your aviary, as a great percentage of wild birds harbour disease and worms.

For smaller birds such as finches, it is recommended that a safety flight be installed.  You simply enter an area, lock the door behind you, then enter through the main door to the aviary.  By going through a safety flight area first, any fast moving birds that happen to escape from aviary are caught in the safety area for easy return to the main aviary.
